I have uploaded an article about how to improve the bent tip of your tati brush on Instagram, and would like to share it here as well.
I didn’t have enough time to edit the videos…so let me show you with the images below.
The tips of tati brushes are made with nylon. Although it depends on how long you have had your brush, how often you use it, and the condition of it, you may still be able to “improve” the bent or opened tip of your tati brush by completing following the steps below.
(Please note: The brushes are expendables, and every time you use them, the heat from friction will exhaust the nylon little by little. Look at the tip of your brush under a light. If you see fuzzy fine hair flowing all around, it’s time to replace it.)
Completely wash all the gel from within the bristles using Krisno’s brush cleaner.
Do not hold the brush upright 90 degrees. Lay it down to wash it as you form the tip into shape. Do not hold the brush upright, or the bristles will be pushed against the metal frame, and get cut from the base.
Lightly wipe the brush with paper towel.
Wash the cleanser (water soluble) in hot (boiling) water. Make sure to use plenty of hot water. A small amount of hot water will not stay hot for very long.
Dip the brush into the hot water. Face the bent tip against the side of the container as you pick the brush up from the hot water. Imagine you are “ironing” from the opposite side. (If you do this within a pot you boiled the water in, the hot side (wall) of the pot will act as an iron. Make sure that you do not rub or stretch the bristles with a stick. The nylon will stretch and become bent when rubbed.
Although it’s not perfect, the tip of the brush will now look better. To get the tip into shape, place a small amount of clear gel on the tip, put a cap on it and store.
You can use “tati Brush Cleaner” for the usual cleanse, but please use Krisno’s cleanser for a deeper cleanse. I hope this instruction will help you enjoy your brushes for a long long time.

You’ve Learned Amazing Nail Art Techniques: Now What?
Learning new nail art designs and tricks is one of the funnest parts about being a nail technician. We all know how exciting it is to watch a new Neiru.me lesson and learn how to make a new masterpiece. But what are you doing with all of this new-found knowledge? Are you struggling with getting your clients to try it out on their own nails?
This is Jasmine and Jessey here (he’s helping me write this letter we’ve put together)
This past August, September and October have been a bit crazy – near sleepless couple months for us.
There’s been so much that has gone with our entire team pulling late nights, pouring our hearts in to building and planning, and we want to share with you the changes, decisions, reasons behind them, as well as the future plans with Neiru.
Change isn’t always easy for everyone (including ourselves), but we know in order to keep up it’s important that we keep an open ear to our Neirubees.
And that isn’t just to do with our weekly lessons, but with the overall experience of being a Neirubee (member)!
So in this post, we want to update you on all the major changes and and exciting plans we have coming up ahead. So let’s go through it one at a time…
I’ve said it before, and I’m going to go and say it again – your photos sell.
Having well captured photos allows you gain attention and establish credibility with potential clients and audience members.
Think about this… when others sell their home, they clean and stage and decorate their rooms. In fact many home sellers hire professionals to stage and photograph their home for them, because they know it sells.
And this is exactly what we as nail professionals need to do. No we don’t need a professional photographer for our work (wouldn’t that be nice?!) but we’re selling our service and they receive a certain appearance to fit the lifestyle they want – all that needs to be properly captured.
As nail techs and artists we are here to make nails look good, and it’s so important that we start focusing on doing justice to your beautiful work when sharing with your clients and following.
This isn’t to say I am a professional photographer and I am totally guilty of taking rushed quick photos, and sometimes it just isn’t possible to take beautiful photos as clients are rushing out or your time is limited.
But when you can, take the time, breathe, and snap carefully.
So let me share with you some of my secrets when taking better photos for nail art.
A Full Review of the Booker App: The All-In-One Salon Booking, Scheduling, Payment, and much much more App.
We put out a question a few months ago to our followers and readers about what booking/scheduling software they use to put their mind at ease when it comes to running their (nail) salons. As expected, we receive a slew of answers from people keeping track through Google Docs all the way to an under comprehensive piece of software.
Yesterday, I had the chance to be interviewed along with my partner, Jessey, on an amazing new Podcast show called ‘The Nail Hub‘. (A podcast is just a fancy term for an online radio show that are recorded and uploaded.) I was a bit shy, but I shared. I shared…
